Barbara Manners
DipPhys (Otago), Dip MT, MPNZ, MNZMPA, Level I Mindfulness Teaching MTI.

Barbara is a Principal in the practice, and has been involved since 1989 when the practice opened in Island Bay. Barbara holds a Diploma of Manipulative Therapy, has qualified in Pilates up to Level 5 through Dance Medicine Australia. She teaches Pilates in the clinic and community. Barbara has trained to teach Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and is using these skills to teach Mindfulness  and Mindful Movement to her patients. She has special interests in persistent pain and enjoys empowering her patients with education and self management tools.

Ruth Noakes
DipPhys (Otago), DipMT, MPNZ, MNZMPA, MPAANZ, CMP

Ruth is also a Principal Physiotherapist. Ruth and Barbara trained together, and went on to set up this practice. Ruth holds a Diploma of Manipulative Therapy, is an Acupuncturist, has completed the level 5 Dance Medicine Australia Pilates course, and has a special interest in lumbar and cervical spine problems. Ruth has recently completed the 2 year pathway of the Mulligan Musculo-skeletal course, to become a Certified Mulligan Practitioner. She enjoys the challenge of returning people to their active lifestyles, and encouraging seniors to exercise more.

Barbara Roy
BPhty(Otago), MPNZ, MNZMPA

Barbara has worked with us since the start of 2014.  She  has completed post graduate training in manual therapy and holds a NZMPA Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy. She has a special interest in neck pain and headaches, and enjoys treating school aged children.  Barbara is a keen runner and enjoys getting involved in the outdoors and tramping adventures. Barbara has recently completed Level 3  Clinical Pilates training with Back in Motion and is enjoying teaching to an advanced level.

Ly Dia Teh
BPhty (Otago), BSc, MPNZ, MNZMPA

Ly Dia has graduated from the University of Otago with 2 degrees: Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Science. She has an interest in sports physiotherapy, and was the sports medic with various sports clubs during her time at university. The most notable teams Ly Dia has worked with are the Tawa Rugby team, which won the Jubilee Cup in 2016 and also during 2016, the NZ U21 netball team. Ly Dia  is currently undergoing post graduate manual therapy training.
